Objective

This new initiative is designed to create a program that will serve all of the greater St. Louis area and its surrounding counties and potentially become a national force.

Our objectives are:

Establish a donation network of local and national businesses including state and federal agencies.

Build and establish relationships with local county and federal correctional facilities.

Develop a network of local contractors and construction related business that will hire people who have been previously incarcerated.

Actively solicit the local churches and develop a plan of mentorship to pick up the slack and address the additional needs both personal and spiritual of the trainees.

Effectively reduce the recidivism rate in the first year by 25% in Missouri with a growth pattern and increase of at least 10% every year thereafter. Based on statistics that government hand-outs have not been proven to work long term, we will seek to develop a system of operation that will begin with a foundation of donations and volunteer efforts ultimately moving towards self sufficiency through its own contributions.  Through the spiritual model of business ownership the men and women involved will achieve a sense of pride that they have a stake in this endeavor.  This will be achieved through the selling and or renting of the finished buildings with the funds recycled for future projects.  It is reasonable to assume that within 1 year Constructing Futures will be fully self sufficient.

Once the growth pattern is effectively established the organization will seek to move into a more national realm.
